so i can’t really work on MHC right, now. I’ll still be working on the writing of it. but as for the art it’s going on hold.
this is sadly so because of general life is sort of stressful right now, and i also need to put together a portfolio if i ever want to get into NSCAD.
so I’ll still post any art i make that’s MHC related, and I’ll mirror it between this and my other blog beyond graphite
But beyond graphite will probably be updated with my portfolio work as well, so keep an eye on that. :)

I’m actually getting really board with this chapter. in fact i get board easily when it comes to decent passing. so even though I’m board I’m still gonna finish this stupid prologue…
also i notice a lot of people stop by during Saturdays, (wordpress has an amazing stat counter). anyways, I’m often far to busy on Saturdays to post. so Sundays going to be the most predictable date for an update. as well, Wednesday posts are looking futile. so I’m stopping them for now.

OK so I was intending to explain who this scary woman from mouses past is… but i was pondering it, and I realized i could make it even more abstract while still explaining everything in the end. it’ll just take a few more pages before you figure everything out.
also. if no one’s picked up on it yet. re-read the first page. and then check out Mouses and johnny’s conversation. notice something?
hopefully that explains the random words at the beginning. :P.
also, the newest character. (to be introduced in chapter 3 D: that’s to far away) is named Ricky. and SHE (not a HE anymore) has connections to Miles.
who now has a really pivotal role in the comics as a side character.

so i know a promised another two pages this weekend, but it turned out i had more to do then I expected. (you try writing an essay on naked singularity theories verses cosmic Censorships theory.)
BUT! i works REALLY hard to finish this page quickly while still making it look good.
so far, this is my favorite page. i was able to use the dream state for some seriously cool effect. though I’m not happy with the third panel, I’m still very pleased with the general progression of the dialog and visuals
chapter three still hasn’t gone anywhere script-wise. and the forum still needs work. le sigh…
but the newest addition of the cast has evolved into something i think i can enjoy writing, he (gender vaguely uncertain) still needs a name though, that’s always the hard part.
I think i can spit out another page this Wednesday. no promises though, i really need to work on this essay.

so i missed this weekend! sorry about that!
here’s two for you to make up for that, and I’ll try for another two this weekend.
I’m really liking how this is turning out, and the whole thing seams to fit perfectly with the plot lines i’ve now created for the actual comic. so i am declaring this the official prelude chapter… the actual chapters will look allot better i promise! D: I’m just waiting for my tablet.
i don’t like page 5 (the thumbnail on the left.) i screwed up on the last panel and now her face isn’t exactly right. but the last panel of page 6 is pretty pleasing. it was a last Minuit thought and i think i played it out well.
this sequence is so critical to mouses character that it’s probably going to take up a good portion of the prelude.
but at the end i’ve got some sneak peaks into the actual plot that will hopefully leave you very interested.
anyways, i’ve got a life to live. so I’ll talk to you this weekend.

PS. the script for chapter 3 is proving difficult, but you can know that i do have two full chapters ready to be drawn up once the comic finally comes into production.

I don’t really like Johnny’s face in this page, actually i don’t really like his jawline it’s way to much like Franks (for those of you who don’t know the original comic, frank had a very wide, very square jaw… and i had trouble drawing his face. but he was my favourite character to draw because of it. :D) . I also don’t like the second panel. but it’s not bad enough that i have to redo it.
now the comics actually going somewhere! this pleases me.
i love drawing Mouses eye in the window. it’s So Big! and so Fun! :3
anywho, I’m currently working on the script for the second chapter of the comic. their actually not that long in written form, but they take forever cause I’m just that anal. (actually i just don’t use my computer enough as of late.)
but yeah, that’s all for now.

okay so here’s page #3
So the random doodled skeletal portions of her body have a reason for being that way. i wont explain it just yet. I’ll leave it for the actual comic.
but anyways, I’m sure you can all figure out what the doors stand fore. but for those of you not inclined to dream metaphors, each door leads to a different chapter in mouses life. and the window is a glimpse into it. notice the eye in the first panel.
and as well, we see a bit of the speaker from the previous page. I’ll call him Butter Crumpet for now… actually he’ll be called that allot in the comic for reasons only i know. (it’s a secret D: *shhhhhh!*)
and last but not least, I’m currently writing the script for chapter two of the comic, I’m finding it’s not that hard to keep it interesting because i’ve got like six different story lines running at once. lol.

with this page i reduced the amount of panels so it feels more like a comic and less like a story board. i am pleased with the result.
I don’t like the last panel.
this speaker can be partly seen in the page i have for this sat/sun (it’s half finished right now)
it’s so much easier to draw a page with fewer panels. very relaxing.

in other news, i was under the impression that i might have to CHANGE THE NAME! of the comic, this would have been a very big event because without the name, it’s just not the same comic.
but i would like to give many big hugs of thanks to my brother for pretty much saving the name! you may thank him also.

so here’s the first page of a little mini series kind of a ‘what’s to come’ for the actual comic.
because I’m still working out the kinks in the plot line, this mini series may not hold true to the eventual outcome of the full comic but it’s the basic idea that matters.
so here we have it.
it’s not very good quality, the actual comic will be much better.

the robot queen is a for sure idea and will eventually be very influential, I’ll elaborate on the robots another time.
